Home for Christmas for Wings for Our Troops newest recipient

We had the honor of sending CPT Meredith Morris home to Bloomington, IL today (she will leave tomorrow from her base) just in time for Christmas.  I can’t truly express with mere words how wonderful it felt knowing she would make it home in time.  Her father will have all his children home together for the first time in 4 years.  What a blessed Christmas he will be having this year.

CPT Morris just arrived back to the states from a 9 month deployment to Afghanistan.  It is a blessing that she is on US soil safe and sound and an added bonus that her family will have a chance to wrapped their arms around her for Christmas this year.

Wings for Our Troops “in loving memory of CPL Chad S Wade” could not make this happen without YOU!  The ones that give of their time and/or money is what makes this possible.

Thank every service man or woman you meet along the way and not just at Christmas.  Their jobs aren’t certain hours, they are on call 24/7 365!  Let’s all show them that we appreciate their service and sacrifice.

Remember those that cannot be home for Christmas and are still in harms way.  May God be with them all.

I cannot adequately express how thankful our family is to be getting Meredith home tomorrow. Every day that we have with her is precious, and to have our daughters together in one place is priceless. I thank you for this Christmas miracle. When I see the pictures of Chad, I see an honorable young man who continues to give and to serve others, even after leaving this earth. Beauty from ashes. God bless you and this service to our troops.
