Wings for Our Troops send Navy man home

On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Wings for Our Troops “in loving memory of CPL Chad S Wade” had the honor to once again send one of our Troops home.   Seaman Christopher Petty of the US Navy needed to take emergency leave for his father who was extremely ill.  His brother who is also enlisted was able to get home the next day and their father had his 3 sons there with him at the hospital.

This foundation strives to send as many young men and women home before and/or after deployment and are currently adjusting our guidelines to allow us to send them home for emergency leaves just as Seaman Petty had in this situation.

It is our hope and prayer that their father makes a speedy recovery and is there when these young men get home the next time.  Thank you for allowing us to help you get home!

Thank you to everyone that continues to support us whether it is with donations, fundraisers, encouragement, or just helping us get the word out.  For without all of you none of this would be possible.  We are here to help, not just give a hand out.  This is our small way of showing our gratitude to our armed forces that serve and sacrifice so much so we can live the lives that we all live.

It is our goal to show these young men and women that WE ARE A GRATEFUL NATION!  Thank you to all our veterans, past, present, and future as well as our active military.  This is Military Appreciation Month and we DO appreciate all you do for us.
